Initiated by our Grenadian Managing Director, Mr. Ismail OBAID; a proposal was put forward to establish a non-profit organization named 'Architects For Grenada' (AFG) , that would primarily aim to restore Grenada's endangered architectural landmarks. Together with Architects Bryan Bullen and Irina Kostka,  AFG has put together a renovation proposal for the Public Library in St. George's.  

The proposal combined free architectural consultancy as well as fund raising for the execution in collaboration with various stakeholders.

AFG has the vision of demonstrating Grenada's ability to restore further derelict and  deteriorating landmarks, to expand into the forts and York House - through a government mandate and multilateral communal, diaspora and international organizations' support.

An ambitious take on both healthcare and economy - The People, The Future.  

The expansive proposal is based on an economic model that will revolutionize healthcare provision on the Island as well as creating massive job openings, medical & eco-tourism, herbal farming (pharma) and boosts the positioning of Grenada as a medical education destination.  

The Project is a PPP-based framework with the local Grenadian public privately owning the infrastructure equity.  The FDI level will leave Grenada and Grenadians in a thriving economy for some ten years, while the endless long-term benefits of premium healthcare shall serve future generations sustainably.

A worthy mention is that this project is poised to serve for a hurricane shelter for some 20,000 citizens - next to all medical services, and at no additional cost !
